How Covert Are The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras?

Sadly, theft, child/parent abuse, and vandalism are a way of life for us in the 21st century. Installing a Hidden Camera in your home or business is a wise choice because you will record the unsuspecting criminal doing his thing, with the hidden camera secretly recording their movement for future prosecution. With so many choices on the market, which one do you choose to monitor your home, child, elderly parent, vacation home, boat, or business? If the idea of a covert hidden camera that you can be set up and working without wires, cables, computers, or a degree from DeVry interests you, then you should investigate the SecureShot Covert Digital Video Recorder/Cameras.

The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras are a cost effective way to monitor your home or small business 24 hours a day/365 days a year. They use brand-named, fully functional consumer items to hide a very small "pinhole" camera. The items perform the normal functions they were intended for, so they are practically impossible to discover by your subject.

The coolest part about the SecureShot cameras are that the video is recorded to removable SD cards inside the item, so there is no camera cable or wires sticking out, nor does it transmit video over the airwaves like standard wireless cameras, broadcasting your image across the neighborhood. They are fully self-contained, and no one will know they are being recorded, unless they have a hidden camera detector, which most people don't own.

They are motion activated, which means they won't record unless there is movement. Once your camera is set in place, you "arm" it by pressing the power button on the included infrared remote control. You will hear a short "beep tone" that lets you know the SecureShot Camera is armed & ready to go.

There are no "tell-tale" extra lights, video cables, or switches which insures a totally covert and secure system. Depending on your needs, you can choose to record either real time black/white or color video, or high-resolution still images. Recording time depends on the size of the SD card. The video records MPEG4 30fps real time video, with a resolution 320 X 240. Or choose JPEG still shot images in a resolution of 640 X 240.

It automatically time/date stamps the video or still images for professional security or law enforcement needs. Every system includes a 512Mb, and 1Gb SD card, and the firmware is upgradeable via the SD slot for future upgrades. It will record 4 hours for each 1 GB, and you can install up to an 8 GB SD card, which will record up to 32 hours of video or tens of thousands of pictures

Changing the cameras settings are a breeze when you connect it to the "Video input" of your TV/Monitor/or VCR with the supplied RCA cable, and pressing the menu button on the remote control. Functions include: set the date and time, switch between 30fps video recording, or high-Resolution still shot recording of 1 image every 3 seconds during motion. The motion activation sensitivity is also adjustable to operate in practically any environment.

You can play back the recorded images or video from the unit by connecting the same RCA cable to your TV/Monitor, and hitting the play button on the remote control. You can also remove the SD card, and play the video on your computer via the included SD card reader. You can adjust the playback speed to 1-2 or 4X. No additional computer software is needed, as Windows Media Player or QuickTime will be able to play the video.

The SecureShot Covert DVR Cameras are a great choice if you don't want a full blown surveillance system, and need to monitor your home, business, boat, or just check up on your child's nanny, or the people who are suppose to be taking care of your elderly parents.
